Key lime is a very small citrus fruit grown in the Florida Keys with a mild, delicate fragrance, sweeter and more tart than the commonly found dark green Persian lime. Key lime pie is made with key lime juice, condensed milk and graham-cracker crust, which has remained unchanged over the years. Watch and learn how to make this super easy, creamy and tangy key lime tart topped with a soft and fluffy whipped cream.

Key Lime Tart
Makes 8 servings

You’ll need: 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom

9 to 10 graham crackers (each 2-1/2 by 5 inches)
2 Tablespoons plus 1/2 cup granulated sugar
4 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
3/4 cup fresh lime juice (from 4 to 6 limes), or fresh or bottled key-lime juice
4 large egg yolks
Pinch salt
Slivered lime zest, for garnish (optional)
